Autism screenings with Julie

Julie has recently completed specialised training in the Social, Attention and Communication Surveillance (SACS) approach. This evidence‑based program was developed by the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre in Victoria and helps clinicians identify early developmental signs of autism from as young as 12 months of age.

SACS has been recognised internationally as one of the most effective early screening tools for autism.

Trust your instincts....

We know that many families are waiting a long time to access autism assessments in the Midwest. To help children and families get support sooner, we now offer early identification screenings for children up to 5 years of age.

Why early identification can help
• Helps guide referrals to paediatricians and other specialists

• Provides useful information to support early intervention therapies

• Assists families when applying for NDIS or Thriving Kids funding

• Supports informed decision‑making about further assessment options

• May save time, stress, and costs by clarifying next steps early

What the process looks like
• An initial appointment to discuss parent/carer concerns

• An in‑clinic observation session with your child

• A home‑based observation

• An observation at childcare or school (with consent)

• A follow‑up appointment to discuss findings and recommended next steps

• Report write up for service providers and/or assessors **

Investment - $100 per session or $350 for the above package (**reports are billed separately)
